Write-a-Will Week

A simple way to leave a legacy for trails in our community is to make a planned gift for the future.

During the week of October 21-25, Fort Wayne Trails will be participating in ” Write A Will Week”. During the event, local attorneys will donate their time to prepare no-cost, simple will documents for donors who include a planned gift to a non-profit. Barnes & Thornburg will assist Fort Wayne Trails donors this year.

Many of us have not yet considered planned giving, and this program provides the opportunity to have a simple will prepared. This will ensure that your wishes are honored and your love of trails will continue for generations to come. There is no minimum gift amount to participate.

Fort Wayne Trails will hold an information session on Thursday, September 19th, from 6-6:30 PM in the conference room of the Auer Center for Arts and Culture, 300 E. Main Street. Volunteer attorneys Travis Glassley and Charles Backs will provide information about simple wills, and will distribute information forms at that time.

Then, if you are interested, please call the office to schedule an appointment to meet with the attorneys on October 22. Travis Glassley will be available from 9 AM-12 PM, and Charles Backs will be available from 1:30-4:30 PM. These sessions will be held at the Fort Wayne Trails office. Please contact Angie Quinn at the office at 969-0079 or [email protected] to reserve your appointment.

After donors have met with the attorneys, they will visit the Barnes & Thornburg offices to review and sign the completed forms.

Great thanks to our program partner, Barnes & Thornburg LLP for participating this year!

Pufferbelly Run, Walk, and Stroll Update: To ensure that we can provide a safe and fun event we have made the decision to cap our registration and eliminate day-of registrations. We have a hand full of spaces left and once they are full we will be closing registration. The virtual options will be left open and are a great way to help support the event and Fort Wayne Trails. The virtual events are casual and you are not required to submit a time unless you would like to. We are sorry to anyone who has been inconvenienced by this decision and hope that you understand the reason behind our choice. Thank you for supporting Fort Wayne Trails!

Join us for the 11th Annual Pufferbelly Run, Walk, and Stroll, NOW WITH A VIRTUAL OPTION!

We are excited to announce that after careful consideration, we have determined that we can move forward with the 2020 Pufferbelly Run/Walk/Stroll IN-PERSON. While following the Governors guidelines and CDC recommendations, we will still provide a fun and safe event for all of you. Of course, your safety is paramount and as we get closer to July 18th, if we feel we cannot provide you with a rewarding and safe experience we will make any necessary changes. Keep in mind that in addition to a fun morning on the trails, every registration goes directly to supporting trail growth and development right here in our city. We thank you all for using and supporting Fort Wayne Trails.
